Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Normand Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balat Kalabaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Normand Hendrix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Balat Kalabaw! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Kalabaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Hendrix. Hendrix gets slowly back to his feet. Kalabaw misses with a combination
and Hendrix counters with a nice body shot. Hendrix clinches with his opponent.
Kalabaw is trying to break free. Hendrix stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hendrix tries to work over Kalabaw's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hendrix is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kalabaw gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Kalabaw has had enough of the clinch but Hendrix keeps him there for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kalabaw as Hendrix tries to tie him up. Hendrix is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Hendrix tries to pull guard but Kalabaw forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Normand Hendrix. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hendrix shoots in for a takedown but Kalabaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kalabaw throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hendrix tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kalabaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hendrix somewhat. Hendrix with a lazy takedown attempt and Kalabaw connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Normand Hendrix has been cut. Kalabaw misses with a combination
and Hendrix counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hendrix is trying to pull guard but Kalabaw has him pressed against the cage. Hendrix tries to pull guard but Kalabaw won't allow it.
Hendrix taking a breather. Hendrix can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Kalabaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Hendrix counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kalabaw swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Hendrix counter with a right hand. Sloppy strikes from Kalabaw. Those never looked like landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Hendrix holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hendrix tries to pull guard but Kalabaw won't allow it.

Nice takedown defense from Kalabaw. No joy for Hendrix on that attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendrix moves into the clinch. Hendrix tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kalabaw avoids it. Hendrix wants to take the fight to the mat but Kalabaw manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Kalabaw breaks the clinch.
Kalabaw looks to land a combination but Hendrix avoids it well. Kalabaw fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Hendrix counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hendrix fails with the takedown. Kalabaw throws a right and a left that both miss. Balat Kalabaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hendrix shoots in for a double leg but Kalabaw sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kalabaw swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hendrix counters with a one-two to the body. Hendrix cracks Kalabaw with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hendrix is defended easily by Kalabaw. Kalabaw falls off balance throwing a combination
and Hendrix counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Normand Hendrix will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Normand Hendrix's cut. That's time! Hendrix's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Hendrix counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kalabaw throws a combination that misses and Hendrix counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kalabaw misses with a double jab
and Hendrix counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hendrix is looking to wear down Kalabaw with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalabaw throws a series of strikes that have Hendrix backpedaling.
Hendrix misses with a takedown attempt and Kalabaw counters with a straight that turns Hendrix's legs to rubber! Kalabaw pushes forward with more strikes and Hendrix goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
