Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian Evansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan McKay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying McKay's choice of entrance music: Land Down Under. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Christian Evansen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dylan McKay! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evansen throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling McKay to counter with a crisp jab. McKay showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Evansen.
Evansen misses the body punch and McKay counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McKay checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Evansen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McKay can pounce on him.
McKay buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Evansen. Evansen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McKay manages to avoid it. Evansen tried to score with a low kick but McKay checks it. Evansen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Evansen getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Dylan McKay has been cut. Evansen wants to slow McKay down by chopping away at his legs. Evansen looks to score with a jab to the body but McKay is just out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evansen closes this distance looking for a takedown but McKay circles away. McKay lands with a kick to the ribs.
Evansen misses with a hook. McKay ducked under it nicely. No luck for Evansen with that takedown attempt. McKay uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Evansen. McKay lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKay lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McKay lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Evansen at a distance.
Evansen is breathing heavily. McKay scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A left and a right from McKay both land. Nice combination. Evansen takes a swing at McKay's ribcage but misses. Evansen is looking to wear down McKay with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Evansen fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Evansen. That's going to take a lot out of him. McKay connects with a body shot that sends Evansen's belly button to the back. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Evansen takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. The crowd cheers as McKay lands an impressive looking overhand right. Evansen doesn't seem phased though. Evansen shoots for a takedown but McKay saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Evansen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McKay connects with a leg kick. Evansen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Evansen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McKay feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Evansen's calf. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! McKay lands a leg kick that knocks Evansen off balance momentarily. Evansen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Evansen is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice leg kick lands there from McKay. Oh Evansen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've been told by Evansen's head coaches at Evolution Fight Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Evansen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. McKay catches Evansen with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! McKay lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A jab from McKay does it's job there. McKay looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
McKay lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. McKay walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Evansen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! McKay swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Evansen's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dylan McKay! Dylan McKay is the new featherweight champion! During a confident post fight interview, Dylan McKay thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
