Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Hank Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyoichi Sudo! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sudo fails with a takedown attempt. Sudo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Kyoichi Sudo has been cut. Sudo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sudo walks into a left hand. Sudo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sudo is rocked! Sudo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hall counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hank Hall! After the fight, Hank Hall was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
