Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JHIMMY JAKA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Brava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brava shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brava trying to move into half guard but instead JAKA has managed to sweep!
JAKA would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
JAKA sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brava's guard.
JAKA wants to pass to mount but Brava is defending the position.
JAKA works his way into full mount!
Brava tries to lock up and control but JAKA gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Brava really doesn't want to stay on the ground with JAKA. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
JAKA manages to capitalize on a mistake by Brava to take his back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
JAKA controlling the position well here. Brava rolled but JAKA kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
JAKA has the hooks in. Brava is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Brava is covering up but some of the strikes from JAKA are getting through and doing damage.

JAKA bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brava's guard.
JAKA stays in close to Brava's body and controls the position.
JAKA drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and JAKA jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
JAKA advances position into side control!
Brava tries to improve position but can't.
Brava is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
JAKA is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brava knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Brava dodges the ground and pound from JAKA.
JAKA wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brava keeps working.
JAKA decides to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brava takes the fight into the clinch.
Brava gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from JAKA.
JAKA tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brava smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JHIMMY JAKA. That's going to take a lot out of him.
JAKA has his takedown stuffed
and Brava counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
JAKA pushes Brava off and gets back to his feet.

Malcolm Brava has got the better of the ground game so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
JAKA is looking to stand up but Brava isn't so interested in that idea.
Brava has gone for a leg lock! JAKA slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brava's guard.

Malcolm Brava showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brava can do anything to dispel that myth.

JAKA looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

JAKA cracks Brava with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Brava is squirming around, avoiding JAKA's attempts to control the action.
You get the feeling that Brava really doesn't like being in this position too much.

JAKA is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Brava can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

JAKA gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

and Brava counters with a single leg into guard. JAKA didn't expect that.
JAKA not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Brava looking to sit in guard and control but JAKA gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
