Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Connor Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raoul Kenshiro! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Kenshiro throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kenshiro manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kenshiro on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kenshiro keeps working. Jones working over Kenshiro with some ground and pound. Kenshiro looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've been hearing good reports from Jones's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Jones winds up and cracks Kenshiro with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Jones is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kenshiro has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kenshiro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily. Jones trying to control the action but Kenshiro is working from the bottom. Kenshiro is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily. Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kenshiro looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jones landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kenshiro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kenshiro is rocked! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kenshiro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jones advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Kenshiro looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Jones turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
