Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between JoseLandis Pele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Ribiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Julio Ribiero was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pele connects with a solid leg kick.
Pele tries a head kick but it misses.
Pele has managed to clinch.
Pele throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ribiero blocks it with crossed arms.
Ribiero is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pele gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ribiero blocks an elbow strike from Pele.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Pele.

Ribiero wants to break free but Pele has control.

Pele moves in looking to clinch but Ribiero pushes him off.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pele pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pele tries to clinch but Ribiero moves out of range.
Ribiero shoots in and drives through. Pele sprawls well.
Pele pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ribiero keeps the fight on the outside.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pele.
Ribiero tries for a takedown but Pele sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ribiero fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ribiero takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ribiero takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Pele connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ribiero has a takedown stuffed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pele rushes Ribiero and presses him up against the cage.
Pele is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Ribiero goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pele prevents it.

Pele using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ribiero has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Ribiero tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ribiero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pele just stands there and leans against the cage.

Ribiero had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pele is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ribiero Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pele's back instead.

Ribiero is trying to stick to Pele's back but Pele is turning into Ribiero. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ribiero's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pele.

Pele has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ribiero to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pele is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ribiero pulls down on the head and he's put Pele to sleep! This one is all over!
