Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benny Quartz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Adam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Benny Quartz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Adam!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adam fails to land the takedown.
Some wild striking there from Quartz.

Quartz tries to keep at a distance but Adam has taken the fight into the clinch.
Adam working hard to break the clinch.
Adam tries to pull guard but Quartz holds him up against the cage and eventually Adam drops back down to his feet.
Adam wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Quartz has him pressed against the cage.
Adam wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Adam has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Quartz after a bit of a struggle.
Benny Quartz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Adam.

Quartz breaks from the clinch.
Adam misses with a jab, cross combination.
Quartz scores with a head kick.


It looks like Robert Adam has been cut.
Adam misses with a series of wild punches.
Adam fails to land the takedown.
Benny Quartz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Adam, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Quartz lands a front kick.
Adam tries to clinch but Quartz moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Quartz clinches up against the cage.
Adam is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Quartz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Adam changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Quartz tries to avoid it but Adam manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Quartz to the ground. Quartz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Quartz has Adam up against the cage in a clinch.
Adam is looking to take this one to the mat.
Adam tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Quartz manages to break the clinch.
Adam slips a jab and a cross from Quartz.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Quartz forces Adam back against the cage and clinches.

Quartz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A nice combination there by Quartz.
Quartz lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Adam dodges the punch combination from Quartz.
A head kick misses from Quartz.
Quartz works over Adam's head and body with a nice combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Quartz lands a big head kick that sends Adam tumbling to the mat! Quartz takes a step backwards and waves Adam back to his feet - he wants the finish!


That has opened up Robert Adam's cut even more.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Quartz lets loose with a powerful body kick. Adam will feel that in the morning.
Adam looks winded!
Quartz throws a right and a left that Adam avoids nicely.
Quartz scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Quartz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Adam.
Quartz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Adam misses with the combination.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Quartz lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benny Quartz dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Robert Adam's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Quartz scores with a jab to the jaw.

Adam gets tackled into the cage by Quartz. Quartz maintains the clinch.

Quartz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Quartz feints a jab promting Adam to slip. Quartz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Adam slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Adam tries for a takedown but Quartz circles away easily
and Quartz counters with a series of strikes. Adam will be more careful next time no doubt.


The cut above Robert Adam's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Quartz gets a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Quartz digs a right hand underneath Adam's ribcage. Adam let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Quartz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Quartz scores with a one two! Adam had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quartz falls off balance throwing a combination
and Adam counters with a series of strikes. Quartz will be more careful next time no doubt.
Adam takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Quartz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Adam.
Adam is breathing heavily.
Adam fails in his attempt to clinch.
Adam fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Benny Quartz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Adam.

Adam gets tackled into the cage by Quartz. Quartz maintains the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adam wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Adam is trying desperately to land a takedown but Quartz is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Adam.
Adam creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Quartz breaks the clinch.
Adam tries to close the distance and clinch but Quartz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Quartz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Adam can do to turn this around?

Quartz has managed to clinch.
Quartz's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Quartz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Quartz connects with a body shot.
Quartz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Quartz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


Robert Adam's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Quartz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Quartz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Quartz lands with an uppercut that bounces Adam off the cage and back into range.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Robert Adam's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Benny Quartz!
