Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rosendo Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rosendo Sims! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Alonso! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alonso shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sims throws the left hand but Alonso avoids the punch easily. Alonso moves into range and clinches up with Sims. Alonso is pressed up against the cage. Sims has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alonso down to the mat. Alonso avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Alonso closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sims to the mat! Sims manages to get full guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Alonso would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Sims keeping full guard, as Alonso tries to pass. Sims has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alonso wants to control from the top but Sims keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Juan Alonso. Sims avoids the head kick by Alonso.
Sims dodges the punch combination from Alonso.
Sims really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sims is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Alonso's half guard. Alonso wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sims prevents Alonso from standing back up.
Alonso is holding on to half guard well. Alonso is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Alonso swats away the attempt to clinch by Sims. Alonso shoots and misses and Sims counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sims. Alonso breaks from the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sims looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Alonso! Sims works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Alonso is looking to reverse the position. Sims tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Alonso sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sims sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Alonso defending well though. Alonso is controlling Sims's position as best he can from this difficult position. Alonso is looking for a sweep. Sims is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Alonso looking for submissions off his back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sims wants to control but Alonso is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Juan Alonso will probably get the nod. That's time! Sims's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Alonso shoots for a double leg takedown but Sims sprawls well. He's pushed Alonso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Alonso gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sims counters by clinching up. Alonso jumps guard but Sims turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Rosendo Sims has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Alonso. Alonso tries to stall but Sims uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Alonso using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sims has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Alonso is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Sims has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Alonso after a bit of a struggle. Alonso manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alonso tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sims counters with a takedown into side control. Sims in side control, throwing shots but Alonso defends. Alonso tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sims wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Alonso struggling a bit here. Alonso is trying to get back to half guard. Alonso wants to control but Sims postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alonso is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Sims is staying active.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Juan Alonso was stalling too much, according to the referee. Alonso throws a leg kick but Sims sees it coming and checks it nicely. Alonso throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Alonso tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sims manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Alonso darts in trying to clinch and Sims holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sims wants to break the clinch but can't.
Alonso tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sims avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alonso successfully pulls guard.
Sims has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alonso is proving hard to escape from. Sims wants to control from the top but Alonso keeps moving. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Alonso looking for a sweep. Not yet Alonso, not yet. Sims throws a big right hand that misses.
Rosendo Sims has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Alonso fails with the takedown and Sims counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sims knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alonso on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sims wants to lay and pray for a moment but Alonso keeps working. Alonso moves into full guard.
Alonso bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sims's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alonso throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rosendo Sims will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Sims scores with a takedown into Alonso's guard. Alonso is trying to control the position but Sims postures up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Alonso bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sims's guard. Alonso wants to stand but Sims is controlling his posture from full guard. Alonso trying to control but Sims is working from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Juan Alonso hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Sims throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alonso shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sims misses with a takedown attempt and Alonso cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rosendo Sims is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Alonso keeps the fight on the outside. Sims misses with a series of wild punches.
Alonso tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Alonso. Alonso shoots in for a takedown but Sims shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rosendo Sims has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Alonso. Alonso fails with a takedown attempt. Alonso takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Alonso fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sims manages to avoid it. The fight stays on the outside here - Alonso looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Alonso. Alonso throws a leg kick which misses Sims's front leg but catches the back leg as Sims tries to avoid it. Alonso swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sims lands with an overhand left. Alonso looks to clinch and Sims counters with a series of strikes. Alonso will be more careful next time no doubt. Both fighters circling a little - Alonso finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. A big left from Sims misses. Alonso fails with the takedown and Sims moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sims is pressed up against the cage. Alonso has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sims down to the mat. Sims avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jab, jab by Sims - just one landing. Some wild striking there from Sims.
Alonso shoots in and gets a takedown into Sims's guard. Alonso throwing strikes from guard but Sims blocks nicely. Alonso is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Juan Alonso comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Alonso has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
