Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Montferrand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montferrand is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Big Joe Mufferaw. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ash displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Montferrand throws out the jab.
Ash shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ash was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Montferrand tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ash wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Montferrand keeps working.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Ash.
