Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Solly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Duffy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyle Solly!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Solly is predictable there
and Duffy counters with a low kick, right behind Solly 's knee.

Solly moves into the clinch.
Solly is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Duffy is defending well.
Duffy avoids the elbow strike from Solly, against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Solly has Duffy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Solly pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Duffy tumbling to the mat - Solly dives into Duffy's guard.
Solly postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Solly trying to control but Duffy is working from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Solly might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Duffy haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Duffy is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Solly counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Solly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duffy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Solly stays in close to Duffy's body and controls the position.
Solly throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Solly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duffy is keeping the position for now.
Solly must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Santiago Duffy.

Duffy shoots for a double leg takedown but Solly sprawls well. He's pushed Duffy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Solly tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Duffy defends well and Solly ends up having to push Duffy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Duffy shoots in looking for a takedown. Solly tries to sprawl out of it but Duffy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Solly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Solly shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duffy but Duffy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Solly tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duffy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Solly somewhat.
Kyle Solly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duffy darts in looking for a takedown but Solly gets double underhooks and turns Duffy into the cage.

Duffy trying to control the position but instead, Solly has worked for underhooks and has pushed Duffy into the cage.
Duffy seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Solly is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
Duffy is pressed up against the cage. Solly has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Duffy down to the mat. Duffy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Duffy shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Solly manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Duffy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Solly's guard.
Duffy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Duffy throws a strike but Solly rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Duffy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Solly is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Duffy is pulling down on Solly's head. It's preventing any offense from Solly, at least for the moment.

Duffy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Solly did well to prevent Duffy getting side control.

Solly has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Duffy is on him like a limpet, forcing Solly back against the cage.

Duffy shoots in looking for a takedown but Solly manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Duffy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Solly bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Solly tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Solly has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Duffy is pushing Solly's head away, looking to escape. Solly manages to hold on to the position though.

Duffy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Duffy is staying active underneath Solly, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Solly stops Duffy from getting back to his feet.
Solly passes the guard and advances to mount!

Solly tries to control but Duffy wriggling away.

Solly throwing strikes here but Duffy is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Solly thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Solly pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kyle Solly comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Solly winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
