Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lachlan Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Anderson's choice of entrance music: ready to Roll, The Black Dahlias. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Tito Santiago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lachlan Anderson! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Anderson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Anderson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santiago is just riding it out for now. Anderson eventually gives up the hold. Santiago tries to roll over but Anderson keeps him under control. Anderson wants to stand but Santiago has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Anderson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Santiago lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Nice takedown defense from Santiago. No joy for Anderson on that attempt. Anderson misses with a low kick. Anderson connects with a crisp jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson. Santiago shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Santiago's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Santiago tries for a takedown but Anderson circles away easily and Anderson counters with a series of strikes. Santiago will be more careful next time no doubt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tito Santiago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Santiago pushes him off. Santiago uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Anderson.
Santiago bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Anderson looks gassed! Anderson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Santiago closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Santiago pushes Anderson against the ropes but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Santiago changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Santiago grinds an elbow into Anderson's temple. Anderson is trying to escape the position but Santiago is controlling the position. Santiago cracks Anderson with an elbow. That is naaassty. Santiago decides to stand back up. Santiago steps back and let's Anderson get back to his feet. Santiago gets a clinch. Santiago jumps into guard, dragging Anderson to the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Santiago wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. Anderson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Santiago is proving hard to escape from. Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Santiago doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Santiago has Anderson pulled in close to control his posture. Santiago is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Santiago is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anderson is controlling him. Santiago knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Anderson drives through with a takedown into guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Anderson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. I looks like Anderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Santiago wants to sweep here but Anderson controlling him for the moment. Santiago throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Santiago keeps moving. Anderson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Santiago on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Santiago tries to get out of the position. Santiago is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Santiago scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Santiago with a poor takedown and Anderson counters with a shoot takedown. Santiago fights it but they end up in guard. Santiago is pulling down on Anderson's head. It's preventing any offense from Anderson, at least for the moment. Santiago not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Santiago postures up and lands a big shot to Anderson's brow. Anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Santiago looking to pass the guard. Santiago misses with a takedown attempt - Anderson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Santiago tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
