Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Russell Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Dorosklov! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorosklov rushes Armstrong and presses him up against the cage. Dorosklov gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Armstrong regains guard.

Dorosklov is stalling in the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dorosklov throws a body kick that misses and Armstrong counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dorosklov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dorosklov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dorosklov wants to stand but Armstrong is controlling his arm. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. You can see the frustration on Armstrong's face as Dorosklov controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Dorosklov is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Armstrong really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Dorosklov controlling the position easily from mount. Armstrong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dorosklov on the ground. Armstrong tries to hold on but Dorosklov postures up. Dorosklov has hold of Armstrong's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Armstrong manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dorosklov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Armstrong hang on? Dorosklov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Armstrong's face.
Dorosklov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dorosklov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Armstrong can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong is in a horrible position here. Dorosklov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dorosklov looking to control and managing it successfully. Dorosklov unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Armstrong wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Dorosklov celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oleg Dorosklov!
