Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Palmeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Palmeri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Norman Parke! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmeri misses the jab. Palmeri throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Parke counters with a right hand to the body. Palmeri throws a series of punches but Parke avoids them all with ease. Palmeri misses with a lunging right hand
and Parke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Palmeri's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Parke is in close to Palmeri's body, working some short punches and elbows. Parke is stalling in the full guard. Parke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Parke works a leg free and moves into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Parke thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Palmeri's head. Palmeri blocking the ground and pound attempt from Parke. Palmeri is refusing to be controlled, as Parke sits in half guard. Parke thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parke seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Parke trying to mount his opponent but Palmeri defends it. Parke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Palmeri is breathing heavily. Parke missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Parke is keen to just control but Palmeri is a slippery customer. Parke moves nicely into side control. Parke misses with the ground and pound. Parke lands a nice forearm strike. Parke scoring with punches from side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parke working the body and head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Palmeri takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Parke misses with the ground and pound. Parke lands a few punches from side control. Parke scores with a couple of short elbows. Parke in side control, throwing shots but Palmeri defends. Palmeri is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Parke in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Parke working the ground and pound. Parke cracks Palmeri with an elbow. That is naaassty. Parke connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Palmeri some visible discomfort.
Parke is putting a hurting on Palmeri here, landing some big shots from side control. Parke sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Palmeri is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Parke in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parke cracks Palmeri with a big elbow. Palmeri on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Palmeri tries to get out of the position. Parke lands a nice forearm strike. Parke advances to mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Parke lands a big elbow. Parke landing punches. Parke controlling his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! BOOM! Parke connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Palmeri is rocked!
It looks like Frankie Palmeri has been cut. Parke postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Palmeri out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Parke goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Norman Parke! In defeat, Frankie Palmeri stepped up to the mic, saying 'No biggs'.
