Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hanz Shteel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Chris Dean and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Shteel does it's job there.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva tries to clinch but Shteel is having none of it.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Shteel.
Shteel swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
Shteel shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shteel fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Shteel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Hanz Shteel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shteel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shteel gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hanz Shteel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Shteel.

and Silva counters by clinching up.

Silva wants to take the fight to the mat but Shteel manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Shteel wants to break the clinch but can't.
Silva drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Silva wants to sweep but no luck.
Silva striking off his back but it's not causing Shteel any problems.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shteel is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.
Silva controls Shteel momentarily but Shteel frees himself.
Shteel wanted to stand there but Silva had control of the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Shteel haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chris Silva.
Silva is looking to clinch.
Shteel misses with the combination.
Shteel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shteel misses with an uppercut. Silva saw that one coming.

Shteel is breathing heavily.
Shteel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Silva lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shteel at a distance.
Silva tries to clinch but Shteel is having none of it.

Shteel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
Silva looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Shteel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shteel tries to get out of the position.

Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shteel's head.
Shteel is trying to stand.
Silva decides to stand and escape the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shteel as he avoids it easily.
Silva manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Shteel on his heels. He'll look to pass Shteel's guard now, I'm sure.
Shteel wants to stand up but Silva is controlling him.
Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Silva dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Silva moves into range and clinches up with Shteel.
Shteel blocking some punches.
Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Shteel is pushing Silva's head away, looking to escape. Silva manages to hold on to the position though.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Silva has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Shteel squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Silva wants to control the pace but Shteel is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shteel is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Silva has taken his back!
Chris Silva has got the better of the ground game so far.
Shteel looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shteel staying busy and making it hard for Silva to control.
Silva is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Shteel has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Silva has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Shteel taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Silva doesn't care though - he's delighted!
