0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stanislav Qnev! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ron Honeybunn and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Qnev stuffs the takedown. Dela Cruz misses the shot to the body. Dela Cruz lets loose with a powerful body kick. Qnev will feel that in the morning. Qnev stuffs the takedown attempt from Dela Cruz. Dela Cruz gets slowly back to his feet. Qnev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dela Cruz misses with a takedown attempt so Qnev counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Dela Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Qnev controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Qnev works a leg free and moves into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Qnev is working for a submission of some sort.

Qnev slows the pace down in half guard. Qnev wants to work for an arm triangle but Dela Cruz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Qnev has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dela Cruz defend it? Qnev steps over the head and cranks it - Dela Cruz is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Qnev!
