Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between AJ Pasion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Showman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler Showman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, AJ Pasion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Showman!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Showman closes the distance and pushes Pasion back into the cage.
Pasion has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Showman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Showman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Showman goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Showman misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Knees in the clinch landing for Showman.
Showman has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pasion after a bit of a struggle.
Showman wants to take the fight to the mat but Pasion manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Pasion jumps guard and drags Showman to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Showman looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Showman throws a strike but Pasion rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Showman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pasion accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pasion wants to control from the top but Showman keeps moving.
Pasion lands a couple of elbows.
Pasion is standing up over Showman. Showman looks to escape but Pasion dives into side control.
Pasion in side control lands a decent elbow.
Pasion cracks Showman with a big right hand but Showman just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Pasion trying to control the action but Showman is working from the bottom.
Pasion has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pasion is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Showman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Showman can't do much from the bottom here.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pasion landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pasion cracks Showman with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Pasion looks up at the clock and then as Showman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pasion smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Pasion takes a little break here. Showman wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Showman is trying to get back to his feet.
Pasion controls the position.
Pasion lands a nice forearm strike.

Pasion is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Showman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Pasion grinds an elbow into Showman's temple.

Showman is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pasion scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Showman is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Pasion can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). AJ Pasion!
After winning the bout, AJ Pasion thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Tyler Showman had this to say: 'I thought I did enough to win the fight, but it just didn't turn out that way. I'll watch the film to learn what I can, and I'll come back a better fighter.'.
