Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Noel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Art Vandalay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noel comes to the cage accompanied by Doom. Art Vandalay will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Vandalay drops Noel with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Noel looks back up at him and smiles so Vandalay waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Noel might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Vandalay throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Noel's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Vandalay dives in looking to finish as Noel flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Vandalay's strikes! Vandalay is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Noel's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Noel was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
