Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dark Chicken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Huerta has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dark Chicken! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Huerta! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Huerta misses. Chicken shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Huerta as he jumps to the side. Huerta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chicken swats him away and circles back towards the center. Chicken swats away the attempt to clinch by Huerta. Chicken moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Chicken shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Chicken looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Chicken wants to control from the top but Huerta keeps moving. Huerta had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chicken is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Huerta Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chicken's back instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huerta struggling to land strikes to the head as Chicken covers up. Huerta looking to break Chicken's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Chicken remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Huerta will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Huerta working for a choke but Chicken is defending well. Huerta looks gassed! Chicken tries to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chicken preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Huerta. Huerta is striking well from the back but Chicken escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. Huerta is looking to advance position but Chicken won't allow it. Chicken keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Huerta wants to work for an arm triangle but Chicken is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Chicken is trying to control but can't.
Huerta seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chicken does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Chicken is controlling Huerta's trapped leg to prevent Huerta from advancing to side control. Chicken has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Huerta is looking to pass Chicken's guard but actually Chicken recovers to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dark Chicken will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Huerta doesn't manage to clinch there - Chicken circles away.
Chicken fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Huerta sprawls well initially but Chicken persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chicken is looking to take a break and control but Huerta is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Huerta is trying to get back to full guard. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chicken here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Huerta is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huerta actively working from the bottom here. Huerta is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Chicken pulls his head out easily. Chicken perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Chicken working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Huerta tries for a takedown but Chicken circles away easily and Chicken counters with a single leg into guard. Huerta didn't expect that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Huerta has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Chicken has passed into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Huerta looks to move to half guard but instead Chicken has passed into mount! Damn! Chicken manages to capitalize on a mistake by Huerta to take his back! Huerta is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Huerta is trying to get back to his feet but Chicken has full control of the position and if anything, Huerta has just worked his way into a worse spot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huerta wants to control his opponent's hands but Chicken gets his hands free. Huerta is really stuck here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Huerta wants to control his opponent's hands but Chicken gets his hands free. Chicken keeps control of the position as Huerta tries to break free.

Dark Chicken dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Chicken performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Chicken is thwarting Huerta's attempts to control the position. Huerta throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Huerta manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Huerta wants to control but Chicken is keeping him busy. Huerta is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chicken defends it well. Chicken regains full guard. Nicely done. Max Huerta has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chicken working for a triangle but Huerta defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Huerta is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Chicken is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Chicken has escaped and now he's on top! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huerta striking off his back but it's not causing Chicken any problems. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Huerta had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chicken is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. And that's the end of the fight! Dark Chicken showed his dominance in that final round. Well Chicken has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
