Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Kirkpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doctor Cupitmasha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rory Kirkpatrick has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rory Kirkpatrick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Doctor Cupitmasha! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.

Kirkpatrick throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cupitmasha tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kirkpatrick is in Cupitmasha's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kirkpatrick avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cupitmasha not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kirkpatrick wants to control from the top but Cupitmasha keeps moving. Cupitmasha is trying to keep Kirkpatrick in close.
Kirkpatrick trying to control but Cupitmasha is working from the bottom. Cupitmasha is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kirkpatrick is controlling him. Cupitmasha has his hands on Kirkpatrick's head, controlling the position.

Kirkpatrick throws a leg kick which misses Cupitmasha's front leg but catches the back leg as Cupitmasha tries to avoid it. Sloppy strikes from Kirkpatrick. Those never looked like landing. Kirkpatrick fails with the takedown. Kirkpatrick definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kirkpatrick shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cupitmasha napping and manages to drive through into side control! Cupitmasha tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kirkpatrick wants to control but Cupitmasha is keeping him busy. Kirkpatrick is really struggling to control Cupitmasha but he's trying to hold on to the position. Kirkpatrick tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cupitmasha is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kirkpatrick's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kirkpatrick is looking for a kimura but Cupitmasha is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kirkpatrick to get the leverage. Cupitmasha wants to get back to full guard. Kirkpatrick stalling away here and it's allowed Cupitmasha to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Kirkpatrick showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kirkpatrick drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kirkpatrick jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kirkpatrick is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kirkpatrick advances to half guard. Kirkpatrick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cupitmasha looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Kirkpatrick is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kirkpatrick wants to free his trapped foot but Cupitmasha is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Cupitmasha takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Cupitmasha will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kirkpatrick has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cupitmasha wants to stand and escape but Kirkpatrick is having none of it. Kirkpatrick trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cupitmasha controlling the position. Kirkpatrick wants to control from the top but Cupitmasha keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cupitmasha is trying to control the position but Kirkpatrick postures up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Cupitmasha wants to sweep but no luck.

Cupitmasha drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rory Kirkpatrick dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Kirkpatrick lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kirkpatrick fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cupitmasha to the ground. Kirkpatrick is now in Cupitmasha's guard. Kirkpatrick controls from within his opponent's guard. Cupitmasha keeping moving, preventing Kirkpatrick from controlling successfully. Cupitmasha manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kirkpatrick is looking to get to half guard. Cupitmasha lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Cupitmasha looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Cupitmasha lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kirkpatrick hang on? Cupitmasha punishing his opponent with strikes. Kirkpatrick can't escape the position.
Kirkpatrick wants to control but Cupitmasha is having none of it. Kirkpatrick working to try and regain half guard.
Kirkpatrick tries to lock up and control but Cupitmasha gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kirkpatrick is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kirkpatrick is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cupitmasha is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Cupitmasha landing strikes from the mount and Kirkpatrick is in trouble! Cupitmasha scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kirkpatrick?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cupitmasha punishing his opponent with strikes. Cupitmasha trying to control but he's not successful this time. Cupitmasha is landing with some decent strikes but Kirkpatrick is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Cupitmasha postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kirkpatrick looks a forlorn figure.

Doctor Cupitmasha has got the better of the ground game so far. Cupitmasha has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kirkpatrick manages to regain half guard. Good work. Cupitmasha is looking to advance position but Kirkpatrick won't allow it.
Kirkpatrick is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cupitmasha pulls his head out easily. Kirkpatrick is looking to improve his position.

Cupitmasha working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kirkpatrick tries to escape but Cupitmasha has the hooks in and won't let him break free. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kirkpatrick is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Kirkpatrick looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doctor Cupitmasha showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kirkpatrick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cupitmasha gets back to full guard.

Cupitmasha is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kirkpatrick is looking to pass into half guard but Cupitmasha pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cupitmasha is in guard.

Kirkpatrick has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cupitmasha should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kirkpatrick has tightened it up now! Cupitmasha should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rory Kirkpatrick! Rory Kirkpatrick very nearly forgot to thank Atlantis amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
