Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Strange! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nate Diaz! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz works Strange's body with a nice hook. Diaz misses with a hook
and Strange counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Strange is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Diaz trying to control from the bottom.
Strange is working for a kimura but Diaz is defending it quite comfortably.
Diaz tries to get to full guard but Strange has control of the leg. Strange is trying to work for a kimura but Diaz is defending well.
Strange sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Diaz defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strange missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Diaz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Strange scores with a couple of nice shots. Strange scoring with strikes to the body and head. Strange looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Strange is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diaz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Strange. Strange looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Strange is taking a breather. Diaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz is looking to improve his position.
Strange wants to pass the guard but Diaz is defending well. Strange wants to work for an arm triangle but Diaz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Strange not landing any meaningful shots this time. Diaz felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Strange missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Strange is looking to take a break and control but Diaz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Diaz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Strange.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to control but Strange is keeping busy and won't allow it. Diaz has hold of Strange's hands but Strange slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Strange tries to pass to full mount but Diaz defends it. Strange is figuring out what he wants to do next. Strange is trying to control the action in half guard but Diaz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ground and pound from Strange. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Strange working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Strange has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Strange throwing shots but Diaz is blocking nicely. Strange wants to work for an arm triangle but Diaz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strange wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working. Strange moves into full mount! Diaz won't be happy about that! Strange looking to control but Diaz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Strange looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Strange has hold of Diaz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diaz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Strange tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Strange dominated that round. That's time! Strange's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Diaz connects with a body shot that sends Strange's belly button to the back. Strange uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Diaz. Strange swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Diaz. Diaz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Strange's head. A jab from Diaz misses. Strange closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Strange pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Strange throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diaz missing with a left hand there. Strange was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Strange loads up on a big right hand but Diaz slips the punch. Strange digs a good hook to Diaz's body.
Diaz throws a hook but Strange avoids it easily. Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Strange manages to avoid it. Strange tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Strange. Diaz looks to throw the jab but Strange is out of range. Nate Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strange gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Diaz. Diaz cracks Strange with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Strange throws a jab when Diaz was well out of range. Strange with a hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strange avoids the body shot from Diaz.
Diaz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Strange ducks under a wild hook from Diaz. Strange thows a left - swing and a miss! Strange takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Diaz cracks Strange with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Strange connects with a good right hand that stumbles Diaz. Diaz circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Strange staying out of range there. Strange takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Diaz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Strange.
Strange throws an overhand right that lands on Diaz's shoulder, as Diaz tries to avoid the shot. Strange keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz. Strange on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Diaz throws a jab but it's blocked by Strange. Nice sprawl there from Diaz as Strange shoots in. Diaz looks to score with a jab to the body but Strange is just out of range. Diaz throws a big shot that misses. Strange misses with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz misses with an uppercut. Strange saw that one coming. Strange scores with a jab to the body. Strange takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Diaz scores with a jab. Strange acknowledges it with a nod of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz throws the left hand but Strange avoids the punch easily. Diaz might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Strange throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Strange finishes the takedown easily into guard. Strange scoring with punches to the head and body. Strange postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Diaz is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Strange has his hands clasped together but Diaz extends and breaks Strange's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Diaz.
