Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bawit Daba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko McCracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daba kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kid Rock - Bawitdaba. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daba darts in looking for a takedown but McCracken gets double underhooks and turns Daba into the cage.
Daba looking to slow down the pace here.
McCracken pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

McCracken rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Daba counters by moving into the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Daba as the two fighters clinch.

McCracken stalks Daba and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Daba's face. Daba staggers backwards, shaken.

McCracken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daba moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McCracken throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

McCracken throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daba.
Daba takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

McCracken has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McCracken ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Daba. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bawit Daba will probably get the nod.

Daba lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCracken circles away quickly and effectively.
McCracken connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Daba's hands.
McCracken throws a right hand that Daba ducks under and follows up with a left that Daba also avoids with ease.
McCracken takes a swing at Daba's ribcage but misses.

and Daba counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Daba looking to finish!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCracken can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Daba seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McCracken for as long as he can get away with.
