Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angelito Barraquinha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn comes into the arena with Break Stuff blaring out of the sound system. Barraquinha has chosen The Mamas & The Papas - Dream a little dream of me as his entrance music. AJ Penn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AJ Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barraquinha dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Penn. That did some damage!
Barraquinha throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barraquinha stalks Penn and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Penn's face. Penn staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barraquinha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Barraquinha uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Penn has time to react.
Penn tries a head kick but it misses.
Penn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Barraquinha drives through and clinches with Penn against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Penn just misses with a elbow thrown towards Barraquinha's brow.
Barraquinha with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Penn is rocked!
Barraquinha has cage pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Penn is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Barraquinha - that's hurt Penn badly! Oh, another knee lands and Penn is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Penn doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Angelito Barraquinha!
