Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milan Holder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Panther!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Panther swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Panther avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Panther changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Holder looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Panther decides to stand back up.
Panther shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Panther was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Panther decides to stand up, so the ref orders Holder to his feet.
Panther drives through with a takedown into Holder's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Panther decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Holder, up you get!
Panther closes the distance and clinches.
Panther has hold of one of Holder's legs. Holder is fighting the takedown attempt but Panther gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Panther cracks Holder with a solid left hand.
Holder is striking from the bottom but Panther uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Panther looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Holder with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Panther stands up and beckons Holder to join him on the feet.
Panther closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Holder did well to prevent Panther getting side control.
Holder is rocked!
Panther lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Holder! More strikes land and this one is all over! Panther jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Panther!
