Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amun Ra!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from McCormick.
McCormick tries to land a leg kick but Ra saw it coming and moves away.
McCormick throws a big shot that misses.
McCormick connects with a body shot that sends Ra's belly button to the back.
McCormick pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ra lands with a cross.
Ra slips under a jab.
Ra stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McCormick.
Ra checks a leg kick.
McCormick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McCormick slips a straight right by Ra.
Ra moves out of range as McCormick strikes.
Ra throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McCormick.

Ra shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McCormick napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Ra working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

McCormick has one of Ra's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Ra tries to free his leg and advance position but McCormick is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Christopher McCormick just wasn't active enough.

Ra displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCormick throws out the jab.

McCormick walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
McCormick connects with a looping right hand.
Ra goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ra ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
McCormick throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCormick was well out of range. Poor timing from Ra.
McCormick ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ra moves away.

McCormick stuffs the takedown attempt from Ra. Ra gets slowly back to his feet.
Christopher McCormick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCormick slaps away a takedown attempt from Ra, before circling back to the center of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCormick is looking to land body kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Amun Ra dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Ra has a takedown stuffed.
McCormick turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ra lands a jab to the head.
Ra has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McCormick finds it's way round the side to connect with Ra's head.
McCormick darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McCormick pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ra back to the cage. McCormick follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Ra is rocked!
Ra throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ra is still on wobbly legs! Can McCormick finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCormick throws the left hand but Ra avoids the punch easily.
Ra moves away from the strike by McCormick.
Ra swings and misses with a shot to the body
and McCormick makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
McCormick throws a big shot that misses.
Ra uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McCormick.
McCormick misses with a looping left.
McCormick throws a jab when Ra was well out of range.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! McCormick has cracked Ra with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! McCormick lands another huge swinging hook and Ra tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Ra, before McCormick can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Christopher McCormick!
Christopher McCormick retains his lightweight title!
Christopher McCormick decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
