The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mudzuri is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sinner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mudzuri is looking to clinch.
Sinner on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Mudzuri misses with a straight left.
A head kick misses from Sinner.
Mudzuri looks to land a left hand but Sinner moved out of range nicely.
Mudzuri moves in looking to clinch but Sinner pushes him off.
Sinner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sinner avoids the body shot from Mudzuri.
Mudzuri needs to keep his hands up - Sinner had a free shot at his head there.
Mudzuri feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sinners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Mudzuri tries to clinch up but Sinner circles away and keeps his distance.
Sinner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mudzuri.
Mudzuri lands with an uppercut that bounces Sinner off the cage and back into range.
Sinner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mudzuri was well out of range. Poor timing from Sinner.
Sinner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mudzuri.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josiah Mudzuri. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sinner throws out a loose jab but Mudzuri uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mudzuri tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sinner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Donk. Sinner catches Mudzuri right on the button with a cross.
Mudzuri doesn't manage to clinch there - Sinner circles away.
Shimmy Sinner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sinner misses with a lunging right hand

so Mudzuri counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sinner is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mudzuri definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mudzuri pushing down on Sinner's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Mudzuri is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Sinner!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sinner can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mudzuri seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Sinner is holding on tight.
Mudzuri takes Sinner's back.

Mudzuri has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Sinner is defending well but eventually Mudzuri manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Sinner has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
