Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kant Gaunov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Milan Zitska! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Zitska!
Gaunov moves in looking to clinch but Zitska pushes him off. Kant Gaunov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zitska lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gaunov is rocked! The fight stays on the outside here - Gaunov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Oh Gaunov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Zitska shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gaunov defends it nicely. Gaunov seems to have got his legs back now. Gaunov tries to clinch up. Gaunov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gaunov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zitska swats him away and circles back towards the center. Zitska circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zitska keeps the fight on the outside. Zitska scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gaunov doesn't seem bothered though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zitska scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zitska stands up and beckons Gaunov to his feet. Gaunov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Zitska misses with a jab, cross combination.

Zitska shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gaunov as he avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gaunov throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Zitska keeps the fight on the outside. Zitska circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gaunov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Zitska tests Gaunov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gaunov tries to close the distance and clinch but Zitska swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Zitska lands with an overhand left. A slapping body kick lands there for Gaunov. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gaunov on the wrong end of a nice hook. Gaunov fails in his attempt to clinch. Zitska has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Kant Gaunov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zitska keeps the fight on the outside. Gaunov tries to clinch but Zitska moves out of range. Gaunov walks straight into a right hand from Zitska - that's dropped him! Zitska jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gaunov from any more punishment! Gaunov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
