Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeru Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ville Paakkari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masaru comes to the cage accompanied by The Naked And Famous - Young Blood. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeru Masaru! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ville Paakkari! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paakkari lands with a nice body punch. Masaru checks a low kick from Paakkari. Masaru lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Masaru is defended easily by Paakkari. Paakkari's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Masaru connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Paakkari scrambles back to his feet. Masaru circles away from the clinch attempt.
Masaru looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Masaru throws a quick inside leg kick. Masaru keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Masaru throws a head kick but Paakkari moves out of range.
Masaru checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Masaru takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Masaru looks to land a body kick but Paakkari moved away.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Paakkari misses and Paakkari takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ville Paakkari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Masaru moves out of range of the body kick from Paakkari.
Masaru uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Paakkari.
A jab from Paakkari misses. Masaru moves away from the strike by Paakkari. Paakkari looks to score with a jab to the body but Masaru is just out of range. Paakkari moves out of range of the body kick from Masaru.
Masaru blocks a leg kick. Masaru slips under a jab from Paakkari. Masaru takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Paakkari pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Paakkari fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Paakkari throws a low kick but Masaru avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Masaru lands a front kick. Paakkari tries to clinch there but Masaru circles away.
Paakkari tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Paakkari swings away with a leg kick that misses. Paakkari instigates a clinch. Masaru struggles to land a body shot inside as Paakkari controls his hands.
Paakkari misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Masaru wants a takedown.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Masaru is looking to break free of the clinch but Paakkari has double underhooks. Masaru displaying some good clinch control by pressing Paakkari up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Masaru drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Paakkari gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takeru Masaru. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masaru prevents a body shot from Paakkari. Masaru dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Paakkari misses with a knee strike.
Masaru misses with some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Paakkari. Paakkari tries to land knees in the clinch but Masaru avoids the damage to the body. Masaru successfully pulls guard.
Paakkari tries to free his leg and advance position but Masaru is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Masaru looking to hit a scissor sweep but Paakkari is one step ahead there. Paakkari wants to control from the top but Masaru keeps moving. Masaru is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Paakkari has his hands clasped together but Masaru extends and breaks Paakkari's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Masaru.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Takeru Masaru! Takeru Masaru was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
