Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Nickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nickson has chosen Flybanger - Cavalry as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sub Zero! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johan Nickson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nickson moves out of range of the body kick from Zero.
Zero is looking to land body kicks. Nickson looks to land a combination but Zero avoids it well. Zero shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Zero prevents Nickson from getting back to his feet. Nickson wants to get back to his feet but Zero passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nickson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zero scores with a couple of nice shots. Nickson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Zero is trying to control. Nickson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Nickson taking some punishment here, with Zero in his half guard. Zero looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nickson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zero moves into full mount! Nickson won't be happy about that! Zero pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Nickson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Nickson really wants to buck Zero off and get back to his feet. Zero lands with some strikes. The referee warns Nickson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Zero punishing his opponent with strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zero lands a big shot there that rocks Nickson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Nickson is rocked! Zero postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Nickson in real trouble here! The ref calls for Nickson to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sub Zero! Sub Zero retains his middleweight title! Sub Zero decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. Johan Nickson was interviewed post fight and said 'We left it all in the cage. I would like to thank my opponent, and my sponsors (Merciless Gladiators)I am gonna go back to the gym train even harder to make sure next time I come out on top. '.
