Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Itagaki Fukuzawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peppu Reiska MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fukuzawa comes to the cage accompanied by In Flames - Colony. MacDonald has chosen Placebo - Pure Morning as his entrance music. Itagaki Fukuzawa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Peppu Reiska MacDonald's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Itagaki Fukuzawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peppu Reiska MacDonald!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukuzawa gets cracked with a nice right hand there by MacDonald.
MacDonald lands a right hook to the body.
MacDonald looks to land a right hand but Fukuzawa moved out of range.
MacDonald throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fukuzawa on the side of the head.

Fukuzawa rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and MacDonald counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fukuzawa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
MacDonald working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Fukuzawa's thigh. Fukuzawa counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Fukuzawa seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

MacDonald throws a strike but Fukuzawa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fukuzawa got a little sloppy there for a moment and MacDonald has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fukuzawa has managed to get both his arms back between MacDonald's legs - danger averted.

MacDonald is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Fukuzawa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Fukuzawa's back!
MacDonald is trying to stick to Fukuzawa's back but Fukuzawa is turning into MacDonald. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in MacDonald's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fukuzawa.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fukuzawa is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
MacDonald is trying to keep Fukuzawa in close.
Fukuzawa chips away with some ground and pound.
Fukuzawa looking to sit in guard and control but MacDonald gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
MacDonald won't allow Fukuzawa to sweep him here.
Fukuzawa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fukuzawa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've been hearing good reports from Fukuzawa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Fukuzawa has momentary wrist control but MacDonald slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Itagaki Fukuzawa will probably get the nod.

MacDonald tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fukuzawa was well out of range. Poor timing from MacDonald.
MacDonald fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
MacDonald shoots in looking for a takedown but Fukuzawa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing MacDonald's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

MacDonald connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
MacDonald uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fukuzawa.
Peppu Reiska MacDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fukuzawa takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fukuzawa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and MacDonald has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

MacDonald tries to land a body kick
and Fukuzawa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
MacDonald swings and misses with a hook to the body.
MacDonald lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
MacDonald is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Fukuzawa throws a low kick but it's checked well by MacDonald.

MacDonald misses the body punch
and Fukuzawa counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking MacDonald out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Fukuzawa is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Itagaki Fukuzawa!
Itagaki Fukuzawa tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
The defeated Peppu Reiska MacDonald had this to say: 'my time is coming.'.
