Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Willer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles comes to the cage accompanied by blue moon. Willer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 50 Cent - Ready For War. Jack Willer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Charles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Willer! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charles shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Willer as he avoids it easily. Charles fails with a takedown attempt. Charles drives through with a takedown into guard. Charles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Charles has gone for a leg lock! Willer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Charles's guard. Charles looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Charles thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Willer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Willer throws a big right hand that misses. Willer is pushing down on Charles's leg trying to pass to half guard. Charles is fighting to maintain full guard but Willer has managed to sneak the leg through. Willer wants to free his trapped foot but Charles is holding on for dear life with his legs. Charles wants to improve his position but Willer is controlling well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Charles darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Willer is trying to maintain the position but Charles is very close to passing his half guard. Charles is looking to take a break and control but Willer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Willer is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Charles throwing shots but Willer is blocking nicely. Willer makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Willer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Charles is breathing heavily. Willer stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Willer wants to clinch. Willer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willer wants to control from the top but Charles keeps moving. Charles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Willer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Charles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Willer trying to control the position from guard on top but Charles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Charles looking for a guillotine here but Willer defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Charles had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Willer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Charles Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Willer's back instead. Willer breaks Charles's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Charles wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Willer is now in half guard. Charles is looking to improve his position.
Willer is trying to control the action in half guard but Charles is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack Willer will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Charles shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Charles was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Willer is squirming around, avoiding Charles's attempts to control the action. Charles is looking to take Willer's back but instead Willer gets back to half guard. Nice work. Charles trying to pass the guard but Willer defending well. Charles is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Willer has managed to free his arm - good work. Charles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Willer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Willer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Charles. Charles trying to mount his opponent but Willer defends it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Willer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Charles looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Charles is trying to improve his position. Willer trying to control the position but Charles is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Willer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Charles's shoulder. That is not cool. Charles gets back to half guard. Willer trying to control from half guard but Charles is working away. The fighters are battling for position here. Charles manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Willer is stalling in the full guard. Charles looking for a sweep. Not yet Charles, not yet. Charles is looking for a triangle but Willer pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Willer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Willer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Charles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Willer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Willer showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Charles tries to land a sweep but no joy. Charles thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Charles has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Willer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Charles. Willer trying to control the action but Charles is working from the bottom. Charles tries to buck Willer off but Willer is having none of it. Charles is trying to control Willer's posture but Willer avoids it. Charles is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Willer off and has taken his back! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Willer trying to control the position but Charles manages to sink in the hooks. Charles controls the action. Willer is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Charles dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Willer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Charles swats him away and circles back towards the center. Charles has his takedown stuffed and Willer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Charles is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Willer has his hands clasped together but Charles extends an breaks Willer's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Charles.
