Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between August Alsina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). August Alsina has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva gets the takedown into side control.
Alsina taking punishment in the form of punches.

Silva stands up.
A good leg kick by Alsina.
Alsina throws a head kick that misses.
Alsina checks a low kick from Silva.
Silva throws a shot from downtown. Alsina moves away and avoids it.
Silva avoids the head kick by Alsina.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.

Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Alsina!

Silva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Alsina slips a jab from Silva.
Alsina throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Alsina gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Silva stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Alsina throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Alsina is trying to push Silva away but Silva has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Alsina has Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Silva gets control of Alsina's arms and successfully pulls guard. Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Alsina has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Alsina would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Silva has control of Alsina's left arm, preventing Alsina from doing any damage.
Alsina tries to stand but Silva is controlling from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.

Silva stands up from Alsina's guard - Silva perhaps looking for a knockout.

Silva fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Alsina checks it well.

Silva gets the takedown into side control.
Silva remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Silva dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva gets a double leg takedown into Alsina's guard.
Silva pushes down on Alsina's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Silva is taking a breather. Alsina says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Silva decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Silva is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Alsina's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alsina tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Silva manages to move to mount!

Silva is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Alsina is forced to tap! Great finish!
