The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeRosa moves into range and clinches up with Wood.
DeRosa's coach down at All Around Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on DeRosa's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
DeRosa lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wood backwards.

Wood looks to land a combination but DeRosa avoids it well.

Wood shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as DeRosa sprawls well. DeRosa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wood gets slowly back to his feet.

That kick from DeRosa tenderised Wood's leg. Wood is trying to keep his angry face on.

Wood pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
DeRosa is looking to clinch but Wood is avoiding it.

Wood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A solid leg kick lands there for DeRosa.
DeRosa circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Wood drops to the canvas, hurt badly! DeRosa follows Wood to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
