0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Santiago Agostini! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hodge shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Agostini but Agostini pushes him off and we're back to square one. Agostini scores with a head kick. Hodge tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Elmer Hodge has been cut. Agostini throws a right and a left that both miss. Hodge shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Agostini pushes Hodge off and scrambles back to his feet.
Santiago Agostini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Agostini tries a head kick but it misses.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Agostini clinches. Hodge prevents a takedown attempt there.
Agostini drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hodge pulls his leg out and moves away.
Agostini goes for a double leg but Hodge avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hodge continues to drive forward.

Hodge keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Agostini lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hodge takes a step back to recover. Agostini tries for a takedown but Hodge sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hodge tries to keep at a distance but Agostini has taken the fight into the clinch. Agostini being controlled against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Agostini thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hodge is in trouble now - Agostini has advanced to mount! Agostini jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hodge manages to avoid the submission attempt. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Agostini swings around for an armbar but Hodge sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Agostini's guard. Hodge has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hodge throws an elbow that misses. Agostini uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hodge's guard. Nice move by Agostini! Agostini wants to control from the top but Hodge keeps moving. Agostini is breathing heavily. Hodge controls Agostini momentarily but Agostini frees himself. Agostini trying to control but Hodge is working from the bottom. Agostini passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Agostini shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hodge defends it nicely. Hodge could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Agostini tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Agostini lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hodge's sensitive parts. A right-left combo lands from Agostini. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Agostini is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Agostini has escaped and now he's on top! Agostini takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Agostini is taking a breather. Hodge says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Agostini looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Agostini tries to stand but can't do so whilst Hodge controls his leg. Hodge trying to hold on to Agostini's head to control him but Agostini postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Agostini throws a head kick that misses and Hodge counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Agostini looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hodge is fending him off so far but Agostini persists. Nope, Hodge circles away and we're back to standing. Agostini throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Horrible takedown by Agostini or perhaps it was just good defense by Hodge which made him look bad. Agostini misses with a lunging right hand
and Hodge counters with a left to the body. A nice combination there by Hodge.

No luck for Hodge with that takedown attempt. Hodge displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Agostini. Hodge closes the distance and lands a one-two. Elmer Hodge has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Santiago Agostini is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Agostini scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hodge doesn't seem bothered though.
And that's the end of the fight! Santiago Agostini comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Agostini has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
