Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evan Spence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silvas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Silvas will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Evan Spence! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silvas! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spence cracks Silvas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Silvas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Spence shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silvas pinned against the cage. Silvas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A nice inside leg kick there by Silvas. That's going to slow Spence down. Silvas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Spence shoots in for a takedown but Silvas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Silvas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Spence sprawls well initially but Silvas persists and gets the takedown into half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Silvas wants to stand up but Spence is controlling the position.
Silvas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Silvas seems to be looking for submissions.
Silvas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Spence doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Spence really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Spence is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silvas content to control rather than advance. Silvas trying to control from half guard but Spence is working away. Silvas prevents Spence from improving his position. Silvas is looking to advance position but Spence won't allow it. Spence might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anderson Silvas wasn't active enough on the ground. Sloppy strikes from Silvas. Those never looked like landing. Spence looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silvas is fending him off so far but Spence persists. Nope, Silvas circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Spence. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spence fails with a takedown attempt. Silvas throws a nice looking combination but Spence bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Anderson Silvas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silvas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Spence gets tackled into the cage by Silvas. Silvas maintains the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silvas tightens his grip and picks Spence up, before dumping him to the ground. Spence manages to land in guard. Silvas is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spence tries to land a sweep but no joy. Spence can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silvas controls the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Anderson Silvas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Silvas looks to land a combination. Spence sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Silvas closes the distance but Spence moves to the side and Spence counters with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silvas stuffs the takedown. Silvas goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Evan Spence has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Spence avoids a kick to the body.
Spence shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silvas pinned against the cage. Silvas gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Spence is breathing heavily. Silvas misses with a body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silvas tries to clinch there but Spence circles away.
Silvas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Silvas dominated that round. The cut man is working on Evan Spence's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Spence shoots in looking for a takedown but Silvas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spence's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Silvas is looking to clinch but Spence is avoiding it.
Silvas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Silvas gets a clinch. Silvas breaks the clinch.
Silvas is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Silvas tries to clinch up. Silvas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spence. Silvas rushes Spence and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Silvas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvas tries to clinch up but Spence circles away and keeps his distance. Spence avoids a punch combination nicely.
Silvas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Spence sprawls well initially but Silvas persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Spence tries to roll over but Silvas keeps him under control. Silvas is controlling the pace.
Silvas is looking to take a break and control but Spence is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Silvas is taking a breather. Spence says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anderson Silvas. Spence tries to land a leg kick but Silvas saw it coming and moves away.
Silvas wants to clinch and Spence connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Silvas tries a head kick but it misses.
Silvas darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Silvas is breathing heavily. Spence wants to get back to full guard but Silvas has passed into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silvas takes a little break here. Spence wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silvas decides to take the fight back to the feet. Spence moves out of range as Silvas throws a body kick.
Silvas shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Spence manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Silvas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Spence looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Silvas passes into half guard.
Spence is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spence is working hard here to advance position. Silvas is controlling the pace.
Silvas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Spence does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silvas passes the guard and advances to mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spence is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Silvas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Evan Spence's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
A combination from Spence does no damage. Silvas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spence paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silvas tries to clinch up but Spence circles away and keeps his distance. Silvas moves in looking to clinch but Spence pushes him off. Silvas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spence swats him away and circles back towards the center. Spence shoots in looking for a takedown. Silvas tries to sprawl out of it but Spence keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silvas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Silvas thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Spence if he has to take too many more of those.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silvas moves into range and clinches up with Spence.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spence looks to throw an elbow but misses. Silvas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Spence throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silvas's waist but Silvas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spence off to one side. Silvas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Silvas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Silvas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Spence is looking for a triangle here but Silvas uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Silvas content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Silvas has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Silvas advances to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silvas controlling from the full mount. Spence is squirming around, avoiding Silvas's attempts to control the action. Silvas controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spence slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Anderson Silvas has got the better of the ground game so far. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Silvas is controlling the pace.

Silvas forces Spence back against the cage and clinches. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silvas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Spence can't fight it off and eventually Silvas manages to take the fight to the floor. Spence looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silvas controls from within his opponent's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Silvas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Silvas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
