The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berdich throws a series of punches but Juric avoids them all with ease.
Juric uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Berdich.
Juric takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Tharon Juric has been cut.
Berdich looks to land a combination but Juric avoids it well.
Berdich cracks Juric with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Juric works Berdich's body with a nice hook.
Berdich fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Berdich shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Juric is trying to defend but Berdich finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Berdich throws an elbow that misses. Juric uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Berdich's guard. Nice move by Juric!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tharon Juric just wasn't active enough.
Berdich lands a glancing blow to the side of Juric's head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Berdich, as that shot connected.
Berdich ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Juric lands a head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Berdich drops Juric with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Juric looks back up at him and smiles so Berdich waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Juric is rocked!

and Juric connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oh Juric is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Juric seems to have got his legs back now.

Alexandir Berdich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Berdich drops his hands momentarily and Juric takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Berdich feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Juric sprawling to the canvas! Juric rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Berdich finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Berdich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Berdich uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Juric.
Berdich gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Juric.
Juric misses with a looping left.

Oooooh!!! Berdich has knocked Juric down with a huge combo! Berdich steps away and waves a wobbly Juric back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Juric is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Juric gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Berdich gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
