Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Musashi Miyamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lord Susanoo! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miyamoto tries for a takedown but Susanoo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Miyamoto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've been hearing good reports from Miyamoto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Miyamoto is looking to take a break and control but Susanoo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Miyamoto has control of an arm but Susanoo manages to advance to Miyamoto's back! Miyamoto holding both Susanoo 's hands and preventing any damage. Susanoo is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Miyamoto won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Susanoo off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lord Susanoo! Lord Susanoo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. Musashi Miyamoto was interviewed post fight and said 'sorry :( he was better... I'll be back!'.
