The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shute avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shute shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaayi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kaayi is trying to get back to half guard.
Shute throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Kaayi takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Shute looks up at the clock and then as Kaayi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shute smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kaayi is looking for a sweep.
Shute misses with the ground and pound.
Kaayi is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Kaayi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
You can see the frustration on Kaayi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kaayi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Shute is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Shute lands some shots froms side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shute in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Kaayi on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Kaayi is trying to control Shute's posture but Shute avoids it.
Shute landing a few strikes.

You can see the frustration on Kaayi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kaayi is looking to reverse the position.
Shute scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kaayi to see if he's OK.
Oh Kaayi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shute scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kaayi is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Shute can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
