Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Scarpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stromek Comatan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gregory Scarpa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stromek Comatan!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scarpa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Comatan.

We've been hearing reports that Scarpa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Gregory Scarpa will probably get the nod.

Comatan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Scarpa uses his free foot to push down on Comatan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Comatan.
