The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen fails with the takedown.
Allen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Poe listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Allen tries for a takedown but Poe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice combo by Poe! Oh, that's hurt him - Allen falls to the canvas and Poe follows him into side control.
It looks like Carl Allen has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Allen shoots in looking for a takedown. Poe tries to sprawl out of it but Allen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Poe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Allen . He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Allen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Poe throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Allen on the side of the head.
