Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bernardo Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by m.A.A.d city. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blake closes the distance and pushes Dawson back into the cage.
Dawson tries to throw a body punch but Blake avoids it by throwing Dawson back against the cage.
Dawson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Blake has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dawson uses from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Blake looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dawson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Blake looks up at the clock and then as Dawson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Blake smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dawson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blake throws a strike aimed at the side of Dawson's head but Dawson avoids it well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dawson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dawson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blake.

Dawson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dawson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Blake eats them both and turns towards Dawson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dawson lands a hook that stumbles Blake back into the cage. Dawson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Blake to the canvas! Dawson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Blake has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
