Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jhaboiy Tobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Quinton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jhaboiy Tobi has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jhaboiy Tobi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ace Quinton! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinton clinches up with Tobi and pushes him back against the cage. Quinton lands with a light punch inside. Quinton keeps control of Tobi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Tobi keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Quinton's efforts to push away. Tobi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Tobi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Quinton smiles and moves away.
Tobi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Quinton tries to clinch but Tobi is having none of it. Tobi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jhaboiy Tobi. That's going to take a lot out of him. No joy there for Quinton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A punch combination from Quinton misses. Quinton closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quinton pushes off an throws an elbow but Tobi leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Tobi is trying to pull guard but Quinton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Quinton digs a right hand into Tobi's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tobi's gas tank. Tobi is breathing heavily. A right handed body shot lands from Quinton.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Quinton works on Tobi's body with a couple of short punches. Quinton digs a right hand underneath Tobi's ribcage. Tobi let out a lung full of air as it connected. Quinton cracks Tobi with a nice body shot. Quinton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Quinton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tobi moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Quinton moves into the clinch successfully.
Quinton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ace Quinton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Tobi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Quinton is fending him off so far but Tobi persists. Nope, Quinton circles away and we're back to standing. Quinton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tobi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Quinton moves into the clinch. Quinton's coach down at TAP ROOT -/- 10 Coaches / Great Sparring / Value was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Quinton's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Quinton lands with a light punch inside. A right hook to the body lands for Quinton.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quinton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Quinton dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Quinton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tobi has time to react. Tobi keeps the fight on the outside. Tobi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Quinton takes the fight into the clinch. Quinton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Quinton connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Quinton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tobi slips a jab and a cross from Quinton.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Tobi. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Quinton lands a big shot that drops Tobi! Can he finish him?
Tobi is rocked! Quinton stands and steps away. Tobi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Oh Tobi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Quinton drives through and clinches with Tobi against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Quinton. Quinton dips a shoulder and cracks Tobi with a mighty uppercut! Tobi falls back against the cage and Quinton unloads with a barrage of strikes! Tobi is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Quinton screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ace Quinton! Ace Quinton tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
