The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kent drives through with a takedown into guard. Kent pushing down on Morales's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Morales is trying to stand back up but Kent is controlling him
Kent wants to pass the guard but Morales is defending well. Kent is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Morales manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kent keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Morales throws a head punch that misses. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kent has picked Morales up - he's going for a ride! Kent dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kent stops Morales from getting back to his feet.
Kent wants to free his trapped foot but Morales is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morales trying to control from the bottom.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kent passes the guard and advances to mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Morales wants to hold on but Kent pushes him away. Morales manages to control the position for a moment. Kent is looking to work his way around to Morales's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Morales might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Morales tries to lock up and control but Kent gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morales is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Kent wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Kent prevents Morales from getting the reversal. Kent goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Morales turns into him and now he's in Kent's guard.
Kent avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clark Kent dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kent closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Morales tries to roll over but Kent keeps him under control. Morales trying to hold on to Kent's head to control him but Kent postures up.

Morales is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kent's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kent's back! Morales misses with an elbow to the head. Kent tries to roll but Morales sticks to his back.
Kent manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Morales is now in side control. Kent tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Morales wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morales wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kent, who protects the arm well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kent managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Morales.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kent can do anything to dispel that myth. Kent is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kent moves into full guard.
Morales trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kent utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. That's three minutes gone in the round. Morales trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kent's guard. Kent looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Morales has picked Kent up and slammed him! Kent can't keep hold of the triangle and Morales manages to pass to side control! Kent is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Morales's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Morales missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kent blocking the ground and pound attempt from Morales. Morales is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kent looking for submissions off his back. Morales has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kent defend it? Morales steps over the head and cranks it - Kent is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Morales!
