Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Ford! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trey Lawson! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lawson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ford will feel that in the morning. Lawson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ford throws a leg kick that misses. Ford blocks a head kick by Lawson.
Ford shoots in and drives through. Lawson sprawls well. Ford changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lawson tries to avoid it but Ford manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lawson to the ground. Lawson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Lawson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lawson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Lawson jabs at Ford's body. Ford is breathing heavily. Ford misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Ford. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice inside leg kick there by Lawson. That's going to slow Ford down. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice body kick there by Lawson. Ford on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lawson. Lawson obviously looking to wear him down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ford fails to land the takedown. Lawson lands with a kick to the temple. Ford shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Ryan Ford has been cut. Lawson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ford. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Ford gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lawson. Lawson connects with a leg kick. Ford looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Lawson connects with a leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lawson manages to break the clinch.
Lawson works Ford's body with a nice hook. Lawson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Lawson lands with an overhand left. Lawson thumps Ford with a low kick. Ford takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ford is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ford gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Lawson gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Ford is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trey Lawson! Our winner, Trey Lawson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
