Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Spezza throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Martins counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Martins misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Martins tries to work over Spezza's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Martins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've been told by Martins's head coaches at Sawadee Muay Thai & MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nuno Martins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martins jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That was a close round but I would say that Nuno Martins will probably get the nod.

Spezza is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Martins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Spezza is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Martins has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spezza is looking for a kimura but Martins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Spezza to get the leverage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Spezza throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Spezza takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Spezza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Martins lands a two punch combo.
Martins misses with an uppercut. Spezza saw that one coming.

Spezza fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Martins has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Martins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Spezza takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Martins with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Spezza to score with a decent uppercut.

Spezza keeps control of Martins as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Spezza is looking to control Martins's arms but Martins gets an underhook and turns him. Now Spezza has his back to the cage.

Martins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Martins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Spezza. Martins does a little dance to reset his feet.

Spezza takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Martins misses with an uppercut. Spezza saw that one coming.

Spezza walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Spezza tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Spezza has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

I would just about give that final round to Jason Spezza.
I think Spezza has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
