The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Lancaster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dawson won't be happy with that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lancaster working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
