Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Jenen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power has chosen Boom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Max Power has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Power! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Jenen fails in his attempt to clinch. Power rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jenen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Power with a nice cross. Power looks to land a body kick but Jenen moved away. Horrible takedown by Jenen or perhaps it was just good defense by Power which made him look bad. Jenen wants to clinch up but Power keeps it at a distance. Power jabs Jenen to the body, keeping him at a distance. Max Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jenen moves out of range of the strikes. Power bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jenen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jenen looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Power keeping moving, preventing Jenen from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenen stopping the sweep attempt from Power. Jenen trying to control the position from guard on top but Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Power is pulling down on Jenen's head. It's preventing any offense from Jenen, at least for the moment.
We're going to have a standup here because Brian Jenen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Power throws out a powerful jab. Power throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Power. Power scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Power missing with a left hand there. Jenen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Power stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Power wants it to stay on the feet. A punch lands to the side of Jenen 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Power lands a slapping body shot.
Jenen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Power throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Power throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jenen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Power pinned against the cage. Power gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Jenen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jenen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power throws a leg kick so Jenen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jenen tries to free his leg and advance position but Power is retaining full guard. Jenen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jenen throws a strike but Power rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Power decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jenen, up you get! Power looks winded! Power circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Power sprawls well. Power wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jenen gets slowly back to his feet. Power misses with a looping right. Jenen gets a takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Power wants to get back to full guard. Jenen stalling. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jenen wants to take a breather but Power is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Power misses the jab. Jenen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Power throws out the jab. Jenen gets a double leg takedown into Power's guard. Jenen trying to control the position from guard on top but Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jenen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jenen advances position into side control! Jenen tries to move into full mount but can't pass Power's legs. Jenen is looking to take a break and control but Power is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenen in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Jenen misses with the ground and pound. Brian Jenen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jenen misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Jenen is looking to take a break and control but Power is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Power takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Jenen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Power felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Jenen is trying to get an arm triangle but Power is defending well. Jenen is looking to take a break and control but Power is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jenen advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenen dominating with strikes here. Jenen trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jenen with a couple of short strikes. Power tries to hold on but Jenen postures up. Jenen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Power is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenen is in the full mount, landing strikes. Power is breathing heavily. Jenen with the ground and pound from mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jenen looking to control but Power is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jenen throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Power is working to get back to half guard.
Jenen controlling from the full mount. Jenen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Power is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Power and Jenen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Power is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Power connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Power pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Power does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Power goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Power scores with a nice strike. Power misses with a straight left. Brian Jenen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Power lands a right hook to the body.
Power will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jenen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Power sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jenen somewhat. Power takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jenen shoots in and bounces Power off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jenen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Power does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jenen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Power sees it coming and defends easily. Power really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Power is staying active underneath Jenen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brian Jenen. An inside leg kick from Power misses. Max Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jenen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Power. Jenen does a little dance to reset his feet. Jenen has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Jenen.
