Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Roger Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Gibbler! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller looks to score with a jab to the body but Gibbler is just out of range. Miller takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Miller turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Gibbler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Miller, pushing him back against the cage. Miller stalling.
Still in the clinch, Miller scores with a nice short uppercut. Miller tries a knee to the head but Gibbler blocks it.
Nice elbow from Miller.
It looks like Jim Gibbler has been cut. Miller lands an elbow just above Gibbler 's eye. A right hook to the body lands for Miller.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A nice right hand lands inside from Miller. Gibbler looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A nice glancing elbow lands by Miller. Miller lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Nice body punch from Miller - that landed with a thud.
Gibbler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Miller comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Miller lands a knee to the body.
Gibbler looks winded! The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbler is trying to break free. Miller's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Gibbler tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Miller will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gibbler up against the cage. Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Miller misses the shot to the body. Miller throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Miller buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A jab lands there for Miller.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller moves into range and clinches up with Gibbler. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Miller effectively controlling the action here. Miller keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gibbler's efforts to push away. Gibbler wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Gibbler's face as he tries to break the clinch. Miller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miller scores with a punch to the head. Gibbler moves into the clinch successfully.

Miller lands a body punch in the clinch. Miller throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Gibblers head. Gibbler can't break the clinch.
Miller scores a nice knee to the body.
Miller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gibbler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller throws a nice outside leg kick. Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gibbler.
Gibbler fails to land with a series of punches.
Miller with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gibbler throws a looping overhand right but Miller ducks down to avoid it. Miller lands a big head kick that sends Gibbler tumbling to the mat! Miller takes a step backwards and waves Gibbler back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gibbler is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A chopping leg kick lands by Miller. Gibbler is still on wobbly legs! Can Miller finish him? We've been told by Miller's head coaches at Team Anarchy MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Miller.
Miller has Gibbler up against the cage in a clinch.
Gibbler seems to have recovered his senses. Miller has Gibbler pressed against the cage, preventing Gibbler from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Miller has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gibbler uses from the top position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Gibbler is fighting to break Miller's control of his arms but Miller is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller is working an open guard so Gibbler takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Miller slips a jab from Gibbler. A good leg kick by Miller. Miller fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Miller scores with a nice body kick.
Miller lands a front kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Miller.
Gibbler drops his hands momentarily and Miller takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Miller! Gibbler is out on his feet! Miller rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Gibbler is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Gibbler is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Miller! Roger Miller took to the microphone after his victory and thanked his sponsors, KAISER for their support in the buildup to the fight.
