Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sven Staale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Perri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Matt Perri was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staale fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Perri checks it well.
Perri looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Staale wants to clinch up but Perri keeps it at a distance.
Staale shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Perri pinned against the cage. Perri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Perri connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Perri keeps the fight on the outside.
Perri shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Perri lands a nice short elbow.
Perri is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Perri uses his free foot to push down on Staale's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Staale.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Staale is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Perri scoring with strikes but Staale is staying in there.

Perri has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Staale tries to hold on but Perri postures up.
Perri lands a couple of good shots and Staale has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Staale is rocked!
Perri is landing with strikes from the back.
Oh Staale is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Perri cracks Staale with a big shot to the side of the head Staale is covering up - he's in big trouble! Perri connects with another shot that knocks Staale out cold! Perri stands above his unconscious opponent and soaks up the roars from the crowd!
