Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darren Merchant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Snow! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snow looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Snow closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Merchant gets caught flat footed, as Snow shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Snow drops back looking for a leg! Merchant is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Merchant manages to kick Snow off! Snow jumps back into Merchant's guard. Merchant working a defensive guard here.
Snow slips nicely into half guard. Snow is working for a submission of some sort.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Snow is thwarting Merchant's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snow is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Merchant wants to control but Snow is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Merchant wants to improve his position but Snow is controlling well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Snow seems to be working for a kimura but Merchant defends the submission attempt. Merchant trying to control but Snow postures up.
