Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valeriy Grushevky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valeriy Grushevky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Roger Miller!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grushevky scores with a punch to the head.
Grushevky lands a nice shot to the body.
Grushevky thows a body shot but no joy.
Grushevky shoots for a double leg takedown but Miller sprawls well. He's pushed Grushevky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Grushevky changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Grushevky manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Grushevky cracks Miller with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Grushevky looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Valeriy Grushevky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grushevky fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valeriy Grushevky. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Grushevky.

Miller drives through and clinches with Grushevky against the cage.
Miller lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Grushevky or not.

Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miller takes a swing at Grushevky's ribcage but misses.
Grushevky could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Grushevky dives in and grabs Miller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes down on Grushevky's head and hops out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Grushevky shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Miller eats them both and turns towards Grushevky to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Grushevky.
Grushevky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Miller.
Grushevky throws a right and a left that both miss.
Miller is looking to score with low kicks.
Grushevky scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Grushevky closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Grushevky blocks a leg kick.
Miller looks to throw the jab but Grushevky is out of range.
Grushevky takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A combination from Grushevky does no damage.
Miller has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Miller throws a low kick, looking for Grushevky's leg but Grushevky calmly moves out of range.
Grushevky dives in for a single leg takedown but Miller sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Miller breaks the clinch.
Miller rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grushevky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Miller.
Grushevky scores with a nice right hand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed right hand from Grushevky misses the target.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Grushevky.
Miller thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Grushevky if he has to take too many more of those.
Grushevky is breathing heavily.
Miller moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Grushevky takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Grushevky thows a body shot but no joy.
Grushevky fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Miller throws a leg kick which misses Grushevky's front leg but catches the back leg as Grushevky tries to avoid it.

Grushevky takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Miller misses with a head kick.
Grushevky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grushevky darts in looking for a takedown but Miller gets double underhooks and turns Grushevky into the cage.
Miller lands a nice knee to the body.

Miller breaks the clinch.
Grushevky shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miller as he jumps to the side.
Miller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Miller rushes Grushevky and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Miller.
Miller lands a nice shot to the body.
Miller lands a body shot in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Grushevky misses with a wild combination.
Miller digs a good hook to Grushevky's body.
Miller scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Miller is looking to slow Grushevky down with leg kicks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Miller throws a body punch but Grushevky moves out of range.
Miller throws a head kick but Grushevky moves out of range.
Miller comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Grushevky on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Miller. Miller obviously looking to wear him down.
Grushevky avoids the body shot from Miller.
Miller connects with a crisp jab.
Nice takedown defense from Miller. No joy for Grushevky on that attempt.
Miller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Grushevky's calf.

Miller throws a head kick that Grushevky semi-blocks.


It looks like Valeriy Grushevky has been cut.
Grushevky takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Miller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Miller, right into the meat.
Miller is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Grushevky rather than just go for the knockout.
Miller throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Roger Miller is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice leg kick lands there from Miller.
Miller jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Valeriy Grushevky's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Miller connects with a body shot that sends Grushevky's belly button to the back.
Grushevky avoids a kick to the body.
Miller connects with a leg kick. Grushevky looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Miller swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Grushevky swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Miller throws the kick towards the body but Grushevky avoids it.
Miller bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Miller lands a big head kick that sends Grushevky tumbling to the mat! Miller takes a step backwards and waves Grushevky back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Grushevky is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grushevky is holding his hands too far apart here. Miller throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Grushevky is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roger Miller!
Our winner, Roger Miller, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
